Canadian vlogger Rosie Gabrielle moves to Gilgit Baltistan

KARACHI: Canadian vlogger Rosie Gabrielle made the announcement on Instagram that she and her husband and fellow vlogger Adeel Amer have decided to shift to North Pakistan on a permanent basis. Gabrielle, who had been traveling and exploring the world on her bike, had come to Pakistan back in 2019 and instantly fell in love with the country, so much so that she decided to move here permanently. However, for those who have been following her from the beginning won’t be as shocked to learn the news considering how often she would post about how much she enjoyed the Pakistani cuisine and spoke highly of the hospitality she received whilst traveling the country.

The vlogger shared a picture of herself with her husband and two dogs. She wrote, “WE MOVED TO THE MOUNTAINS!! The long anticipated wait is over! We are happy to share and announce that we have officially shifted to the North of Pakistan 🇵🇰.”

Elaborating on her decision to make what she termed as “A BIG MOVE,” Gabrielle explained, “Neither of us are city people or “fit in” with societal “norms” and the system. We long for wide open spaces, fresh air, peace, simple life, nature and ADVENTURE!.” The couple had been living in Lahore prior to the move and she talked about her time in the city, “Although it was necessary for the time to be based in the city, we couldn’t wait to get out of there. After 10 long months living in Lahore, we finally made the move and shifted our entire life up here- indefinitely.”

Gabrielle expressed that for her and her husband, the shift to North Pakistan was a way to “to take the stressful pressures off ourselves, focusing more on being present, being in nature, having adventure at our finger tips and generally living a more simple life, this is the PERFECT place to be.”
