KARACHI: When news recently broke that famed comedian Umar Sharif was extremely unwell and needed to go to America for his procedure, fans expressed their concern for his health. The actor shared a throwback picture of herself and the comedian and wrote, “Umer Sharif – one of the greatest comedians of the sub-continent and a real legend of all times. He always was working hard to make other people laugh and smile. Today it disturbs me to know that he is in pain and distress because of his grave illness.” But she went on to share the good news with fans that her husband has taken on the task of tending to Sharif’s medical needs which included his travel arrangements and the medical procedure, “I am proud of my husband – Dr. Syed Tariq Shahab who has agreed to perform the high risk procedure and is helping the family in his transfer arrangements to America.”

Reema Khan went on to thank her husband for helping with taking care of Umar Sharif and all his health concerns and wrote, “Thank you Tariq. I pray to Allah PAK to give Shifa in your hand and to give Umer Sahib full and complete recovery. Aameen”

Umar Sharif’s wife also took to social media to reach out to his fans and made a request, “It’s so sad to hear and see people sharing private pictures from the hospital. I would like to state and request that just for some likes and share don’t share anything without confirmation please!” She then went on to share the good news, “Now the good news! Our beloved Umer has been performing well as per doctors and he is fit to fly through air ambulance. I, Zareen Omer would like to sincerely thank Federal government for doing the visa process as fast as possible.”
