First look of Dam Mastam out

KARACHI: 2020 seemed to be a promising  year for Lollywood and one particular movie fans were excited to see was Dum Mastam.  However, COVID-19 brought the entire Pakistani movie industry to a screeching halt and the movie that was set to release in 2020 had been delayed. However, with the announcement that cinemas will finally re-open there is a flurry of activity in Lollywood. Amar Khan added to the excitement sharing a first look at the Dum Mastam movie poster.

Sharing the poster on her Facebook page, the Dil-e-Ghumshuda actor wrote, “If dreams and belief had a face it would be Dum Mustam. First look of our labor of love.” She went on to write, “This is a first for a lot of people attached to the film.” Khan was referring to more than just Imran Ashraf and her own  movie debut. The upcoming movie marks Adnan Siddiqui’s debut as a producer. Another first attached to the movie is Amar Khan writing the script for the romantic comedy. She ended her post on a positive note saying, “See you at the cinemas whenever the time is as per God’s plan.”

The two lead actors also gave fans a sneak peak of their onscreen chemistry with a performance at the recently held HUM Style Awards.

The movie was meant to release last year with Siddiqui sharing his excitement on Instagram, “We can’t wait to bring to you our much-loved creation—Dum Mastam. The movie has been born out of two years of toiling hard including managing shoots in the old and new normal. It is only a matter of time now.” However, the pandemic changed the release date and pushed it back a year but that didn’t dampen Siddiqui’s spirits as he concluded his post with a positive note, “See you guys on the big screen in 2021!”

Adnan Siddiqui also shared his excitement on Instagram as the poster comes out. He wrote, “Have waited with baited breath to unveil the fresh from the oven poster of my first 70mm baby Dum Mastam. It is a beautiful creation of our hard work and heart work.” He went on to thank the entire cast and crew for their contribution to the movie.
