Here’s what to expect from Money Heist season 5

KARACHI: Netflix just dropped the trailer for Money Heist season 5 and it’s safe to say that things don’t look too great for our favorite gang of robbers. Set against a haunting cover of Linkin Park’s ‘In the End’, the trailer is jam packed with action. Between physical fights to what seems to be a very intense gun battle with Palermo being the target, it seems as though the gang, who has been trapped inside the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours, is in trouble.

While they might have rescued Lisbon and outsmarted most of the intelligence agencies of the country, they now have their hands tied with an enemy that is much bigger than them and one they weren’t necessarily prepared for; the army.

This time, it looks like even the Professor won’t be able to help. In season 4, the Professor finally met his match in Alicia Sierra and now while the gang has been cornered by the army, he’s been cornered by her and doesn’t seem to have a plan.

What will go down in Money Heist season 5  is something fans will have to ponder about till September 3rd. However, the final installment of the popular series has been split into two volumes with the second one set to release on December 3rd.

In a statement, creator Álex Pina explained the decision to split the series into two, “When we began to write Part Five in the midst of the pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected from the ten-episode season and used every tool we could to create the sensation of a season finale or series finale in the first volume itself. We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes. In volume two, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure.”

Fans are excited to see what the new season has in store for them.
