Twitter reacts to Firdous Ashiq Awan’s argument with Sonia Sadaf

KARACHI: Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister, Firdous Ashiq Awan, has recently made headlines after her very public spat with the Sialkot Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sonia Sadaf. Naturally, when the video of the disagreement went viral, social media had a field trip. Now all people can talk about is the Firdous Ashiq Awan vs. Sonia Sadaf battle and which side they’re on.

The whole situation arose when Awan visited a Ramadan Bazaar in Sialkot to inspect the quality of food there. Upon finding “third class quality” food at one of the stalls, she turned to the AC and demanded an explanation for why the quality wasn’t up to par. Firdous Ashiq Awan was loud and her choice of words for the AC were harsh.

The AC could be heard asking Awan to discuss the matter in a more cool and collected manner rather than in a crowded bazaar. Awan responds saying that the AC isn’t someone special and that the rush is for everyone and asked her why she’s so worried about herself. She goes on to say that Sadaf’s actions aren’t that of an AC. Awan’s chiding went onto the point that Sadaf walked off.
