KARACHI: The 19th edition of the Lux Style Awards will take place virtually, owing to the global pandemic. As Asima Haq, Director Beauty & Personal Care at Unilever Pakistan noted in a press statement, “This year, the LUX Style Awards will celebrate the achievements of our winners virtually and we’re delighted to be able to honour talent in a befitting manner while following all the protocols of the New Normal. LSA 2020 promises to be a night to remember.”

The recently virtually-recorded show will stream online by the end of this year.

This year, the entire process – from planning to collecting portfolios to jury sessions – took place virtually. The team gathered portfolios for 28 categories across fashion, film, music and television. Separate juries convened at multiple times during the year evaluated each portfolio and finalized nominations, overseen by auditors, PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC). Voting lines were then open for viewers to choose winners in the popular choice categories. The list of Lux Style Awards 2020 winners is out now.

The Unilever Chairman’s Lifetime Achievement Award has been given to Anwar Maqsood while Tapu Javeri has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement in Fashion.
