Here are our favourite celebrity bridal looks from 2020

KARACHI: 2020 has been an uncertain year for everyone. With most of the year spent in lockdown in many parts of the world, social gatherings were cancelled. For the people who had their weddings planned for 2020, the festivities minimized and big weddings remained a dream for many. Many of our celebrities also had small, intimate weddings during the lockdown. However, brides across the world still managed to look their best on their big day, regardless of the scale of their event. To wrap up the year, we have shortlisted some of our favourite local celebrity bridal looks from 2020.

Rabab Hashim

The most recent celebrity bride of 2020, Rabab Hashim got married just last month and has been sharing stunning pictures from her event. While the photoshoot from her Mehendi by Abdul Samad Zia looked nothing short of a fairytale, Rabab also looked radiant on all days. Our favourite look, though, has to be from her Rukhsati. Dressed in a beautiful ivory dress with a tea pink dupatta by Zainab Chottani, Rabab’s look was perfect for a day event. To add a bit of colour to the look, her jewellery had emerald green stones in contrast with the lighter tones.

Sana Javed

Sana Javed and Umair Jaswal have been the talk of the town ever since they tied the knot in October. For their Nikkah ceremony, Sana opted for a kharra dupatta. Sana’s jewellery, too, had hints of green to go in contrast with her tea pink dress. Sana completed the look with subtle makeup and plain bangles.

Eman Suleman

The first celebrity bride of 2020, Eman Suleman challenged the stereotypes of a desi bride in many ways. Rocking her pixie cut, Eman chose a red dress by Zarah Shah Jahan with an embroidered shirt and a plain sharara. Keeping the look minimalistic, Eman ditched the necklace and bangles and flaunted her gol tikkiya mehendi design.

Sajal Aly

Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza continue to be the public’s favourite celebrity couple. Our favourite look from the chain of events hosted by the two actors has to be Sajal’s reception attire. Designed by Elan Official, Sajal’s saree was the perfect combination of chic and minimalism. Sajal complemented the dress with a high ponytail and studs. She also wore the dress to the virtual Green Carpet Fashion Awards 2020.

Sarah Khan

Pink seems to have been a popular choice amongst brides this year. Actor Sarah Khan, too, chose the colour for her wedding outfit. She topped the look with a lot of traditional jewellery including a jhumar but at no point did it look too much! What made her look even more stunning was how genuinely happy she looked at all of her wedding events.
