KARACHI: According to a recent press release, the Jawani Phir Nahi Aani star will be treading in international waters when it comes to film. All set to make his international debut in the upcoming UK film, Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi, Ahmed Ali Butt will soon be seen on-screen with Gippy Grewal, Neeru Bajwa, and Annu Kapoor. The venture has the actor playing a major role in the film.
Ahmed Ali Butt comes from a Punjabi family of some of the most talented members of the media fraternity, such as late singer Madam Noor Jehan. A man of many talents, including his career in music, acting, and direction, Ahmed Ali Butt gives hopes of a smooth transition to an international screen.
He recently took to Twitter and Instagram to notify his fans and followers about the beginning of the film’s production phase. His caption on Instagram said, “Let’s shoot. Good morning #London.”
On his Twitter, he wrote, “Bismillah.. today I start shooting my next film with an incredible international cast, director and producers. Need your prayers as always. “Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi”. @gippygrewal @neerubajwa and @annukapoor Eid-ul-Adha 2021 #PhatteDindeChakkPunjabi.”
Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi is a production from Humble Motion Pictures and Omjee Star Studios in partnership with HKC Entertainment and Cinestar.
About the film, Ahmed Ali Butt said, “As an actor and a Punjabi, it’s great to be a part of the UK Punjabi cinema that not only promotes a positive image of our cultures but also showcases the most creative and beautiful side of our countries. This is a huge step toward international audiences.”
The actor has also revealed that the film will be released by Eid-Ul-Azha in 2021. Fans expect the film’s arrival in theatres by the summer of 2021.
The actor also has a Pakistani film, Fatman on his plate. The film has been put together by the legendary duo Nabeel Qureshi and Fiza Ali Meerza.
