Quaid e Azam Zindabad to be the first film to release post Covid-19

KARACHI: It is no news that one industry that has suffered huge losses due to the coronavirus outbreak is the cinema industry. Not just in Pakistan but worldwide, major releases came to a halt due to the pandemic. Once the lockdown was lifted last month, it was a tough call for cinema management to reopen cinemas. They informed that the SOPs are impractical. Meanwhile, there have been discussions to work towards reviving the Pakistani film industry. Amidst that, director Nabeel Qureshi announces to release his next, the much-awaited Quaid e Azam Zindabad.

“We are planning to release Quaid e Azam Zindabad this year,” he told Cutacut. “It will be the first Pakistani film to release post the coronavirus pandemic. So, let’s hope for the best. I pray it succeeds.”

Starring Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan in lead roles, Quaid e Azam Zindabad wrapped up in the first quarter of 2020. The film has been complete and ready to release. However, the pandemic caused a huge delay. The makers, director Nabeel Qureshi and producer Fizza Ali Meerza are all set to launch it this year. Reportedly, it will come out in December with the trailer set to release very soon.

Fahad Mustafa plays a cop in the film opposite Mahira Khan. The two will share the screen for the first time in Quaid e Azam Zindabad. Fans are delighted with the pairing and are looking forward to the release of the film, just as much as Nabeel Qureshi is. Given his past work, one expects the film to entertain and aware audiences at the same time. While the plot is under wraps, we hope it’s worth the wait and lives up to the hype.
