Teaser for Mohabbat Dagh Ki Soorat is here

KARACHI: Neelum Muneer, Syed Jibran and Sami Khan have teamed up for an upcoming new drama called Mohabbat Dagh Ki Soorat which will air on Geo TV soon. The drama which is a 7th Sky Entertainment production doesn’t have a release date just yet but the teaser clip has fans geared up for an emotional ride ahead of them.

Based on the novel with the same name by Saira Raza, the drama will see Neelum Muneer and Sami Khan as the protagonists and each other’s romantic interests who are obviously madly in love. However, their love story takes a hit when some unexplained circumstances will leave Khan with a physical impairment, relying on crutches to walk. From the teaser it becomes obvious that the incident, which we will find out after the watching the drama itself, will impact Khan’s character not just physically but emotionally as well which in turn will impact his relationship with Muneer. His insecurities stem from how people with physical disabilities are treated in society and even more so how his love interest will have to bear the brunt of it. However, what is heartwarming to see is that Muneer’s character doesn’t seem to be dissuaded by the impairment.

No love story is complete without a villain and for Mohabbat Dagh Ki Soorat that villain is none other than Syed Jibran who plays Muneer’s brother. The teaser leaves fans wondering what his issues with the relationship actually are and if Khan’s character’s insecurities are validated by Syed Jibran’s actions.

Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay addresses childhood trauma

The drama has been produced by Abdullah Kadwani & Asad Qureshi and will feature some of the biggest names of the industry including Asma Abbas, Sunita Marshal and Fazila Qazi. Till the release date is announced, fans will have to wait to see what Neelum Muneer, Syed Jibran and Sami Khan will bring to the screen as leads of the upcoming drama.
