Maya Ali announces launch of her clothing line

KARACHI: Celebrities turning entrepreneurs/business people seems to be the new trend. There are many of them who run their businesses in addition to their acting assignments, while more and more are joining the league. Recently, Faysal Qureshi launched his fragrance line while Hania Amir, Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt are soon to launch their fragrances too. In a recent turn of events, Maya Ali announced launching her own clothing line via Instagram. The Pehli Si Muhabbat star shared her excitement with names while revealing that the upcoming line is called ‘Maya Pret-A-Porter’.

“If there is no dream there is no struggle. Me and my dear cousins @zainab.qadeer and @ansaqadeeraq are endeavouring to turn our lifelong dream into reality. My belief is cemented now more than ever in the fact that ALLAH always makes a way if the intentions are pure.”

Going by her Instagram post, she has teamed up with her cousins for the clothing line. Ansa Qadeer will serve as the Creative Director while Zainab Qadeer will serve as the Creative Head, if you take a look at their Instagram handles.

“I am absolutely thrilled and a teeny bit nervous to launch MAYA prêt-a-porter. All I need now is your love and prayers,🙏🏻🙏🏻” added Maya.

While the designs haven’t been revealed just yet, scroll through of the Maya Pret official Instagram page gives us a few teasers about the upcoming line. In specific, the “Gul Bahaar” collection has been described as an “amalgamation of luxurious fabric,” coupled with “exuberant embroidered motifs and traditional embellishments.” In another post, the line was described as a “mesmerizing mix of sparkle, grace and purity.”

Several of Ali’s colleagues from the industry including Bilal Ashraf, Minal Khan, Zara Noor Abbas and designer Faiza Saqlain congratulated her and wished her luck.

Needless to say that Maya Ali’s new venture has us all excited. We can’t wait to see the designs she comes up with! And while we wait we’ll be getting some style inspiration from the Maya Ali Instagram style catalog.
