Bulbbul trailer: Anushka Sharma’s upcoming film is about real life and imagined horrors

Anushka Sharma’s newest production Bulbul, an upcoming Netflix Original, dropped its trailer and we are beyond terrified.

The period horror flick revolves around a child bride who goes on to become the lady of the house.

The trailer opens up with a “churail” being described with inverted feet living in trees (every desi child’s worst nightmare), and moves on to a child bride on her wedding night talking to her much older husband (also everyone’s worst nightmare).

Let’s just say the creep factor was high from the get go.

Netflix describes the premise of the film as: “A child bride grows up to be an enigmatic woman presiding over her household, harbouring a painful past as supernatural murders of men plague her village”

The film stars Rahul Bose, Tripti Dimri and Avinash Tiwary and will be released on Netflix on Wednesday.
