Pakistani child prodigy shocks social media with his tabla skills

KARACHI: A seemingly 4-year-old boy became viral on social media on Monday in a video showcasing his tabla playing talents. In the video, one can see the boy dressed in a school uniform and cheerfully playing, upon the videographer’s request, a variety of folk tunes from the four Pakistani provinces: Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Since being posted, the video has  received over 83,000 views and a lot of attention online.

The precision of each provincial tune and musical talent of this boy is what was widely appreciated by the Pakistani audience that took to Twitter to voice their admiration. While some are calling him a bundle of joy, others are wanting shows such as Coke studio to sign a deal with the talented young artist.
