KARACHI: Rumours have been buzzing about a Benazir Bhutto biopic in the pipeline for some time now but those rumours were given a new life when Mehwish Hayat recently took to her Instagram to hint that she may be playing the late Prime Minister in an upcoming film.
Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, Benazir’s eldest daughter, immediately addressed the rumours regarding this film. She also threatened to take legal action against the filmmakers for failing to take permission from Benazir’s children.
Hayat seemed apologetic for the way the news has broken out. She immediately responded to Bakhtawar’s claims, stating that the project was in a very early stage.
